Coach Corey founded this club program with Chad Hogancamp three years ago with a passion for building a positive, competitive environment for young athletes. A proud Stanford football alum, he brings high-level playing experience and deep community ties through his work with Oakley. He is excited to help grow girls flag football, mentoring the next generation with energy, dedication, and a true love for the game.

Chad Hogancamp

Coach Chad founded this club program with Corey Hill three years ago, inspired by his passion for coaching and his experience as a proud girl dad with over 10 years of travel softball coaching under his belt. A USC alum and devoted Trojans football fan, he’s brought his energy and enthusiasm to girls flag football since the early days of the Matt Leinart High School league. Coaching this sport has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life, and he’s excited to continue helping young athletes grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game.

Sydney Hogancamp

Coach Sydney is coaching to give back to the program that helped shape who she is. Playing for the club was a privilege that gave her valuable opportunities, both on and off the field. It taught her discipline, teamwork, and resilience, lessons she carries with her to this day. Now she wants to pay it forward by helping the next group of athletes grow, succeed, and take full advantage of what this program has to offer. Coach Sydney attends Irvine Valley College and is committed to play on the girls flag football team.

Jason Mckenna

Coach Jason began coaching two years ago after his daughter joined the program and his son played quarterback at the collegiate level, fueling his passion for the game. Currently the JV Head Coach at San Juan Hills High School, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to coaching girls flag football through the club. Excited to help young athletes develop their skills, he’s committed to creating a fun, competitive environment where players can thrive.

Hayden Mckenna

Coach Hayden has been coaching for two years, driven by a deep passion for the game he developed as a Quarterback at the University of Redlands. After serving as an assistant coach for the JV team at San Juan Hills, he focuses on developing players to reach their full potential both on and off the field. Building on his playing career, he is thrilled to be coaching girls flag football through the club and he is eager to help young athletes grow, compete, and enjoy the sport.

Allan Pulido

Coach Allan started coaching women’s flag football at UC Irvine in 2000, when the sport was merely a blip on the radar. As an educator with 30 years of experience, he loves connecting with players at their level. He values developing his players to become better people first and formidable athletes as a close second. Allan is currently the Head Coach for Girls’ Freshman Flag at San Juan Hills High.

Nariman "Nerm" Noorzady

Coach Nerm is excited to be coaching in his first year with South OC Wave, assisting coach Allan directly and working closely with the entire amazing Wave coaching staff.  Prior to joining Wave, Nerm coached 3 seasons of 14u girls flag football with various leagues in south OC.  After receiving his BS in Biological Sciences, from UC Irvine, Nerm began a career in the medical device industry.  Today he lives and works in Laguna Hills.

Ryan Aday

A native of Orange County, Ryan has coached in the area for over 25 years.  He spent time as a coach at Mission Viejo High School,  El Toro High School, and Costa Mesa High School. Coach Aday is a quarterback who’s played high-level five on five Flag Football for over 30 years.  He has three daughters who are all aspiring flag football players.

Claire Parnell

Coach Claire’s purpose of coaching at OC Wave is to achieve the dream she had since she started playing flag football; creating an environment and community where young female athletes can thrive in their sport and not be overlooked. After playing flag football at Mission Viejo High School as the quarterback starting her sophomore year and playing as quarterback on the HS OC Wave team until Spring of 2025, Coach Claire has dedicated herself to growing the sport and creating opportunities for young female athletes, just like the many opportunities that were presented to her. Along with coaching, Coach Claire will be attending CSU Long Beach and she hopes to expand flag football to her University and establish a competitive flag football team. Her love for flag football continuously grows and she loves to see the sport growing within her community and across the world. GO WAVE!

Maya Mckenna

Coach Maya developed her love for flag football while playing at Trabuco Hills High School, later competing on OC Wave’s club team. There, she gained valuable skills, discipline, and a deep understanding of the game. These experiences shaped her as both a player and a leader, inspiring her to share her knowledge with the next generation of athletes. Currently attending Irvine Valley College, Maya plays on the women’s flag football team while continuing to grow as both an athlete and a coach. She is passionate about helping young players build confidence, develop their abilities, and discover the same love for the sport that has been so impactful in her own life.
